The Basics

RaceApp.net ("we", "us") provides meet timing and management software ("Service") to help schools and organizations run track, cross country, and swimming events. By using our Service, you agree to these terms.

Using Our Service

  • Who Can Use It: Coaches, schools, and athletic organizations. You must be 18+ to create an account.
  • Your Account: You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account.
  • Acceptable Use: Use the Service for legitimate athletic meet management. Don't use it for illegal purposes or to harm others.

Your Data

  • You Own It: You retain ownership of all data you upload (athlete info, meet results, etc.)
  • Our License: You grant us permission to use your data only to provide the Service to you
  • Data Accuracy: You're responsible for the accuracy of athlete information and obtaining necessary permissions

Payments & Subscriptions

  • Free Tier: Basic features are free with limitations
  • Paid Plans: Subscription fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable
  • Cancellation: Cancel anytime; access continues until the end of your billing period
  • Price Changes: We'll notify you 30 days before any price increases

The Service

  • Availability: We strive for 99.9% uptime but can't guarantee uninterrupted service
  • Changes: We may add, modify, or remove features with reasonable notice
  • Support: Email support is included; we typically respond within 24 hours

Limitations of Liability

AS-IS Service: The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for:

  • Timing errors or inaccuracies in results
  • Lost data due to user error
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months.

Indemnification

You agree to hold us harmless from claims arising from your use of the Service, including disputes over meet results or athlete data.

Account Termination & Deletion

By You

  • Subscription Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your current billing period.
  • Account Deletion: You may permanently delete your account through account settings. This action is immediate and irreversible.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account

  • All teams you own are permanently deleted
  • All meets, events, race results, and athlete records are permanently removed
  • Your personal information (email, name) is anonymized
  • Any active subscriptions are cancelled immediately (no refunds for partial billing periods)
  • You will receive a confirmation email

By Us

  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
  • We may terminate inactive accounts after 24 months of inactivity with 30 days notice
  • In cases of fraud, abuse, or legal requirement, termination may be immediate

Data After Termination

  • User-initiated deletion: Data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered
  • Subscription cancellation: You can export your data until your access expires
  • Termination by us: You have 30 days to export your data before permanent deletion

General Terms

  • Governing Law: These terms are governed by California law
  • Disputes: We'll try to resolve disputes informally first
  • Entire Agreement: These terms constitute the entire agreement between us
